Company History

TRP Polymer Solutions was originally formed in 1981 as Technical Rubber Products Ltd by Richard Watts and Peter Children. Its remit was to develop precision rubber components for fluid sealing and handling applications.

The company developed quickly and by the mid-1990s employed 250 people across three divisions. These divisions were:

• the Plate Heat Exchanger Gasket Manufacturing Division in Hereford, UK
• the Special Products Division in Hereford, UK
• the Plate Heat Exchanger Gasket Manufacturing Division in Rockford, Tennessee, USA.

In May 2004, the Special Products Division demerged from Technical Rubber Products Ltd and became TRP Polymer Solutions Ltd. This new company stayed on the same site and took over the staff, equipment, IPR and customers of the Special Products Division.

Today, TRP Polymer Solutions employs over 50 people and has an annual turnover of over £2.5 million.
